So, you read all this advice about blogging and online business, and you’d REALLY love to move forward with it. You have big goals. You have big plans. Big dreams.
But, then you take a look at what’s getting in your way. And you can’t help but feel a little deflated.
Sure, you have the usual constraint that everybody has: Lack of time. But, there’s a good chance you have a deeper constraint…
You are not adept at handling the technical needs of an online business.
You get royally frustrated that you can’t make Wordpress do what you want it to do. You don’t know how to customize your theme properly. You don’t know how to integrate your opt-in forms. You don’t know how to do tweaks to your own site that you KNOW should be easier.
It isn’t as if you don’t try. You try to figure it out, but you can’t quite seem to find the right combination.
And, sometimes it seems as if everybody has it figured out except you. It sucks, really.
And, take whatever time you have to dedicate to your online endeavor… and flush it down to the toilet. Because, now, any spare hour you can get is spent screwing with some STUPID little code thing rather than doing something more important that can actually have a shot of growing your business.
If you feel this way, you’re not alone. It is, by far, the biggest problem I see out there when I’m working with people.
Too many aspiring internet entrepreneurs who are trying to do it themselves feel literally TRAPPED by their lack of technical skills.
And, sure, there are outsourcing opportunities. Fiverr is a good one. But, let’s face it… you have to still know enough (technically) on your own to even know what to ask for, or know when it is right.
At the end of the day, there’s really no getting around having to know and understand the technical side of this business – well, outside of hiring yourself a full-time geek and having them at your beck and call. But, most growing entrepreneurs are bootstrapping it, and they can’t afford to hire a staff programmer or web designer.
Technical Help For Bootstrappers
The Tech Workshop is designed for people who are bootstrapping it, and who want to do it themselves. They just need some guidance from somebody who knows what they’re doing.
What many may not know is that, long before I created Blog Marketing Academy, I was pretty deeply involved in the technical side of things. Blogging-wise, my start is as a tech blogger. So, I was a geek anyway. But, aside from that, I’ve done a LOT of web design and a LOT of programming. I used to actually do PHP development for clients, as well as myself. Before Wordpress was a big thing, I had actually created my own content management system that, dare I say, rivaled the capabilities of Wordpress today. For clients, I have created custom content management systems, a customized web portal for managing medical information for a web-based natural health care site, a consumer email reminder service, etc.
The point is… I’m a lot better at the technical side of this business than most, due to my background. And, because of my tech blogging background, I’m also good at communicating this stuff to people who aren’t as nerdy as I am. 🙂
So, I went to town to deliver an online seminar specifically to help my Academy readers get over their technical hurdles with Wordpress, email list services, plug-ins, HTML and CSS.
That’s the Tech Workshop. But, I have news…
I’m Back For More 🙂
What has been done in the Tech Workshop so far is all sitting in the training portal as recordings. And, there is quite a bit there for you… walking through a lot of the basics, all the way up to advanced stuff.
But, the Tech Workshop gets refreshed every so often with a fresh set of Q&A calls. And, we’re about to do that.
I will be holding the next help session on June 19th, with a followup within days of that one for anybody who couldn’t make the first (or if you want to attend both, that’s cool, too).
Oh, and with my recent switch to Genesis Framework, I can now add that to my knowledge-base. So, if you need help making the Genesis Framework do what you need it to do, I’m now in a position to help you out. 🙂
I’m also making another change…
I’m going to begin building up a “tech library” inside the training portal, specifically for “tech workshop” students. It will work like this….
Anytime you have a technical question, you will submit to me using a form. Can’t figure out how to do something, just ask. Confused by a geeky matter on your site, just ask.
Then, I will answer you personally in the form of video. I will actually WALK YOU THROUGH IT, answer your question, right on my screen. That video will be made available in the portal for others to learn from as well. And, over time, we’ll have a nice “tech library” of answers you can reference any time you like.
The value to you is… you’ll be able to get my personal help when you need it. Your question will go on my editorial calendar, and I’ll create the video for you. Simple as that.
How To Get This Help From Me
If you’ve gotten to this point, then there’s a fair shot that you – like many – are feeling a little trapped by your lack of technical skills.
I have a solution for you. And you don’t have to buy into some super-expensive program to get it. You don’t have to get into any monthly program.
The normal price for the Tech Workshop is $249 – which is a pretty good deal when you consider that it is one-time, for lifetime access, and that includes ALL help sessions for life. Anybody who has already enrolled in the Workshop in the past will be able to access all this new stuff, including the two new calls – absolutely free. Because, that’s how the alumni program works. 🙂
But, if you join before our next call, you won’t be paying $249.
You can join today for only $150. One-time. No monthly fees. Nothing additional.
It is all covered by the usual 30-day “change your mind” guarantee that I offer on all my Academy training courses.
So, with that, I invite you to check out the information page for this Tech Workshop. I also recorded an update video (down toward the bottom) which explains fully what I’m doing this month with the workshop.
If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer your below.
