Discovered this today and it looks really impressive.

Need a bit of a tech head to get it up and running by the looks of it.

But wondered if anyone in the BMA community has any experience of this platform?

This could be great within the community I’m building.

@David – have you come across this? Looks like it could easily do the Q+A (a la Office Hours) type sessions I’m l ooking to host.

        Thanks!

Never heard of it, but on first glance, looks sorta similar to other conferencing systems. Not totally sure what would make it different.

It’s free – which is nice 😉 – thought I could use it instead of a subscription to a webinar SAAS. But has some very handy extra functionality too.

Looks like it needs a dedicated server – so maybe would work on Cloudways but not SiteGround (who I am currently with)?

Also, I’m not clear where I the livestream recordings can be store.

Not sure if I could set this up myself though – looks a little tricky from the YT videos I’ve seen.

If I were to go with this @David – I might well need to pay for one of your tech services to set it up. Or find someone that offers that. Might that be something you could/would want to do?

Technically, Cloudways isn’t a dedicated server. It is a VPS. Not sure if that matters.

Might be best to ask them about help on setting it up. While you could have me look at it, I openly say I have never heard of this service, so if it gets geeky to set it up, I can’t guarantee it’ll work. 🙂 I work best with WordPress tools. 🙂

                  OK thanks David.

I think it may run on a VPS dependent upon the spec. I’ll check and look into it further.
