blocking content no longer working

Hoping you’re having a great start to the new year.
Unfortunately, I am not. I was using Buddyboss to lock down the site, and recently it stopped working, visitors are now able to see all pages. My license for buddyboss updates expired, so can not get support from them.
I removed the site lock and tried using wpfusion to lock down pages, that did not work.
I removed those wpfusion locks and I used lifterlms and created a membership, locked pages and that did not work.
Have you ever run across this issue, and if so do you have any ideas what could cause this and or any suggestions?
