Can’t Delete Themes

I’m on WP 5.5.1 and I have two themes that are redundant, and that I keep getting notifications to remove (eg under “Remove inactive themes” on the Site Health Status page).
However, when I try to delete them (via the Manage Themes tab) I get the popup saying:
“Deletion failed: The requested theme does not exist.”I can use the Live Preview function with both themes – so it looks like they are still installed, and yet when I then click on Theme Details to delete them I can’t.
Any idea how I can delete these?
I’d rather not use FTP – but if that’s the only answer I guess I’ll have to. (Oh, and if it is the only way I’ll need guidance on what exactly delete!)
Thanks!

It might be because of weird characters or spaces in the name of the folders for those themes. Not sure. Anyway, removing by FTP is super easy.
Assuming you know how to log into FTP, you just navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and you will see a folder in there for each theme you have installed. To delete one, just delete the entire folder for that theme.
