Circle vs Buddyboss as a community platform

Circle is looking pretty shiny as a platform to host my discussion and community. I already have buddyboss but seeing as they have a SSO with wordpress…It’s a lot more tempting.

Anyone curious about circle or have any experience with it?

No direct experience. I know Pat uses it.

Why the interest, though? Other than the shininess, if you already own BuddyBoss and it is as integrated with WordPress as you can get, why go to a third-party platform that charges you $79/month to do the same thing? You have BuddyBoss for a whole year for the price of not even 3 months of Circle.

I don’t know know how much revenue you’re doing, but I would only consider Circle if I was running a ton of revenue and really, really didn’t want to mess with WordPress.

Personally, though, I prefer the sovereignty of not relying on expensive third-party services.

It’s the shininess paired with the reliability of the third party Saas services. Had a few hiccups with buddyboss but nothing to throw my hands in the air. I’m a wordpress advocate but I’m also looking for absolute reliability when it comes to my members regardless.

Also yea I saw that I’d have to go with the $79 plan just for that SSO. Not so tempting anymore lol

I haven’t had any reliability issues on BuddyBoss.
