Considering Thrive Theme Builder (ShapeShift) – Any known performance issues?

Hi, David,
I’m considering Thrive Theme Builder (I’m moving back to WP after a stint on Squarespace). I like the Shapeshift theme. Just doing a pre-purchase check: I know at one time you used T.The,me Builder (Shapeshift) on BMA and you also have video tutorials on Theme Builder – at any time did you ever feel it slowed down the site? Page builders in general have a rep for weighing down and slowing site loading, etc. – Just wanted to get your input. Thanks! –Kevin

If you compare it to a more native theme or one based on blocks, then yes there would be a performance hit. That said, in the real world, that effect is so small as not to worry about it.
