I want to create a form in which users can answer some personal questions pertaining to their goals, re-visit the form to change their answers, and have their answers displayed on a page and be only visible to them. I have fluent forms pro to create the form, I believe I would need advanced custom fields to add custom fields to the form, what other plug-ins would I need to be able to display the answers and for the user only to be able to see their answers? or is this something that would need to be custom coded? Thanks.

If you want to stick with Fluent Forms, I think their Ninja Tables Pro plugin (same company) has the ability to work the way you want. I have not yet personally tested it, but my understanding is that it can enable displaying form entries on the front-end.

Another option would be the GravityView plugin that works with Gravity Forms.

To circle back on this, looks like another way is indeed to use ACF. You can use it to add fields to user profiles. To output those on the front-end, you might have to do a little coding, but it usually isn’t very difficult. If you don’t need anything fancy, could probably display the fields using shortcodes.

If you turn on the Fluent Forms ability to create/edit users, you can create a form and map those fields to user meta fields (i.e. custom fields). This would give users the ability to self-edit those fields.

Sorry David for the late reply, I been tied up the last few days. Thank you for sharing your knowledge in this area, it is greatly appreciated. I’m fairly new to the WordPress world (in terms of my website building years), and I am really starting to love all the capabilities of Wordess and it’s plug-ins. I am also honored that this question made it into the Edge 😀 perhaps it’s a a candidate for a Youtube video or even a Course here on your site?
