Drip vs ActiveCampaign

I’m trying to decide between Drip vs ActiveCampaign. Both of these CRMs appear to be very similar, and are interchangeable in most website tech stacks. ActiveCampaign restricts features according to pricing plan (lite, plus, professional, enterprise) whereas Drip does not. And as your number of subscribers increases, Drip is less expensive than ActiveCampaign.
It seems like Drip should be the clear winner. However, from reading multiple comparison articles online, ActiveCampaign comes out top more often than not. I don’t understand why.
What are your thoughts? Why did you choose Drip over ActiveCampaign?

For me, a major deciding factor (at the time) was that Drip’s pricing didn’t increase so drastically as the list grew.
