I know this was mentioned on a live classroom (maybe the last one), but how can I move a site from a directory on a domain to the main domain?
Example: The site is on http://www.examplesite.com/wp and I want to move it to http://www.examplesite.com
I am thinking I will need to clone the site.
Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Chris
Depending on your host (or with their help), one option is simply to change the domain settings itself so that it points right to that sub-directory. Then, you don’t actually need to move anything.
I did a redirect and it works great. However, Google and Facebook only seem to pick up the site on the directory. (the ***.org/wp).
I thought moving it to the main directory might help with Google and Facebook recongition.
