Hi David,
Just watched the Office Hours Call 06/07/2020.
1. You mentioned briefly your new camera is Sony 5100. Please could you clarify the model and also the lens? I love the image it gives and would like to consider it for my group coaching calls. I’ve never owned a DSLR camera so any tips would be highly appreciated.
2. For your live Office Hours calls what webinar software do you use? I’m using Zoom webinar which is fantastic for screencasting but gives a blurry webcam video. This is not due to my Logitech webcam because it gives a brilliantly crisp video on YouTube livestreams.
Thank you very much for your help.
Rob.

2. Re Zoom, they dropped the resolution down because of COVID to essentially half the normal 720p resolution of a normal Macbook Pro — 360p. And no way to get better than that right now with Zoom…

Yes, the camera is the a5100. The lens is the Sigma 16mm 1.4. It uses the E-mount, which is specific to Sony as far as I know. The lens isn’t cheap, but nothing is when you’re trying to get good performance in low light along with a shallow depth of field (aka blurry background).
I am using Vimeo Premium, which is the top-end Vimeo account that allows live streaming. So, it isn’t technically webinar software. Just a live video feed.
