Thank you David for an insightful Edge #344. With commoditization of ebooks, launches, courses and memberships, does it mean the days of charging higher prices for it are over? Or is it rather, rethinking the positioning, marketing and value proposition of it? While working with clients is great, it is not always affordable in the way that an all-access membership can be.

No, it isn’t over at all. Even in a world of inflation, people still buy stuff and always will. 🙂 It is just an opportunity to think over what one is offering and the value proposition.

I’m still going to be doing memberships. 🙂 The LAB isn’t going anywhere, even if it will be part of the main site again. It is just that I’m doing more client work. I think any smartly run business needs to have both things going on. Clients are great for higher transaction size, whereas memberships, courses and the like are great for revenue that isn’t tied so much to time.
