  • Read Time

Can anyone suggest a plugin that will put read time at the top of your posts? I tried a popular one but it just didn’t jive with Thrive and it put it everywhere… kinda sloppy. I’m looking for something a little more elegant.

I used to use one and long since turned it off. Can’t remember the name of it off hand.

What kind of issue were you having, though? I can’t think of a reason why it wouldn’t play nice with Thrive. Many of these things just insert the read time into the template using a shortcode. And if you have the scroll bar thing at the top, it should work just fine with Thrive.

not sure which one I tried but it injected itself everywhere, excerpts, latest posts, above and below posts… it was a hostile takeover and looked really bad… it spammed the site with itself…

I would just try some different options. It should have an options screen to determine where and when that shows up. Also, some of them use shortcodes to insert things, giving you fine-tuned control.
