Hi – I was wondering if I should change the way my blog articles are saved on my site.
I have them saved with the dates and I’m wondering if this is hurting my SEO.
It was originally set up as an herbal news site but I don’t blog as much as I used too.
Should I leave it or would removing the dates improve or harm my SEO?
If you don’t post often and the dates are rather irrelevant to the usefulness of the content, then might as well remove them. In terms of SEO, more recent dates are better. Last updated dates even better. But, if the dates are all old, not much point.
And if you’re talking about the dates being used in the post URLs, then I’d definitely take those out.
