Hi all!
So I’m starting from scratch and I’m stuck. Until now I bought the domain name and hosting so my next step is to find a beautiful theme I guess. I am considering buying the Thrive Themes membership because I guess I will have all the tools that I need to build and run my site and I don’t need any extras except for an email provider. But I was looking if Thrive Themes has any theme that I like and I am not sure if they have any. They say that they have a very good builder, but I don’t want to build the entire website by myself, and I want to start with a premade theme that I like.
So basically I’m asking
- if I’m gonna need any extras for building my site except for Thrive themes and an email provider
- is Thrive Themes has any themes or templates or do I have to buy it from somewhere else?
I’m just starting and my budget is tight so I’m not in for experiments
Thank you!

When you use Thrive Theme Builder, it does come with a default theme and it looks pretty decent. But, the whole point is that you can mold it into whatever you want. And it isn’t a very geeky experience at all. So, if I were you, I’d go that route. If you go with some other theme, you’ll likely be left dealing with child themes and other things to try to modify it.
As for any extras, it sorta depends on what capability you want your site to have.

Hi David,
I see. Could I buy some other theme, let’s say one for Theme Forest, and make adjustments with the Thrive Page Builder? I guess they are compatible.
I am a life coach and for now I provide live workshops mostly online. I believe Thrive Themes covers me in almost everything. That’s what I’m trying to figure out now.

Highly doubt that would work. You could use Thrive Architect to edit content without any issue, but you wouldn’t be able to edit another theme with Thrive tools. You would need to use whatever the chosen theme comes with to edit it.
