Upsells vs Products in ThriveCart

I’m confused about how upsells work in ThriveCart (which I’m new to).

TC seems to treat Upsells and Products as two entirely seperate things, treating Upsells as essentially OTOs only.

Here’s what I want to do:
After selling Product A – I want to offer an Upsell to Product B (as it is a natural follow-on sale to A).

But I can’t do that because I can’t see any way to add Product B (or any Product) as an Upsell.

I’ve checked TC’s (not great) Knowledgebase, ThriveCart Power Users YT channel, and the ThriveCart Academy FB Group – but still can’t find the answer.

I find this really confusing! How do I ‘Upsell’ to another Product??

Can anyone help me get this set up?

        Thanks!

First, FYI, I am going to be creating a ThriveCart course just like I just did for ConvertBox.n Probably won’t be ready until August, though. Realistically. But, it is coming.

          As for this…

Yes, the way TC works, you do set up your upsells as a separate bunch of products. It is a little weird, but I’m guessing they had some reason for that.

Basically, you would need to re-build your Product B offer as an upsell offer in your account. then, you will be able to use it as an upsell on any product you want. Also, once you have your checkout page designed as an upsell, you can clone it for other upsells to speed things up. But, you do need to do the work to set up that first one.

            Thanks David.

Why oh why do they do that!??

I hate duplicating work. How irritating!

Your ThriveCart course should be handy then!

I can kinda see it. First of all, the stats would be different because of the context. The functionality of an upsell is different, too.

Once you have an upsell template you like, you can duplicate it between other upsells and just change the text.
