Is this membership forum built on BuddyPress added to a ThriveTheme (TT) wp site? I’m trying to create a Facebook-like community using Thrive Themes. Someone in a TT FB group suggested using BuddyPress with TT for that and recommended David Risley’s blog. I understand he’s switching to BuddyBoss, hence the question about what I’m seeing here. Does anyone have suggestions to achieve this goal? I’m open to “future casting” better options once I get my business launched and have some profit flowing…

This site is using BuddyBoss – both the platform and the theme. Much easier and more professional since it was built for this purpose.
I am a big fan of Thrive Themes, but the experience if you want to use Thrive Theme Builder is not as tight. You could use BuddyPress with it and just embed elements into your pages using shortcodes, etc. It’ll work OK. But, you won’t have the fine-tuned control over the look of things nor will you be able to visually edit things like you would the rest of your theme.

How can I learn which elements to embed from BuddyPress into my Thrive Themes and where do I embed them? I’m trying to create a landing page to to capture lead information, by offering a free 3 day class. So after filling out the lead capture form on the landing page, I want them to be forwarded into my private group.

Best bet is the Buddyboss documentation. For instance, here’s shortcodes for embedding forum components:
https://www.buddyboss.com/resources/docs/components/forums/forum-shortcodes/
But, really, it’ll be difficult getting a real Facebook-like experience without using one of their themes. Thrive Themes just isn’t built for that, so might prove not worth the effort. Forums won’t be too difficult, and there are even other options than Buddyboss. But, the full Facebook-like experience is really going to require direct support from the theme.

Thank you for the information. Maybe, I’ll have you create that for me once I have some profit rolling in.
