... or you could end up starting up a blog which will prove difficult to monetize later. I've seen my share of them.
No, what makes much more sense is to prove the concept - to prove the business model - before you do any real blogging,
And trust me, it can most certainly be done.

Never Start Your Business On A Hunch.
Start One Based On Proven Numbers.
In those beginning phases, it does feel like a lot of things are based on your gut feeling.
Will people care? Do they want what I'm providing? Is your idea going to work or end up being a waste of time?
And a lot of "paralysis by analysis" can result from this. Especially if you have a real visceral fear of failure, as many do.
But, all that is completely unnecessary.
By taking a series of specific baby steps and making small tests along the way, we can prove our ideas before going "all in". And we're talking about hard numbers. Real math. Either the numbers work or they don't.
If the tests show all positive signs, we move onto the next step.
If not, we make adjustments and re-test.
Through this process, we are proving our concept and/or making adjustments to how it is presented until the tests pass.
Then, and only then, do we move full steam ahead with the blog and everything that entails.
