Building A Content Marketing Plan
This is an important course. And here’s why…
In our line of work as content producers, it is really easy to get onto what I call the “content hamster wheel”. It a never-ending assembly line of content, driven primarily by the calendar. But, in most cases, that content isn’t really growing the business.
This course goes to the very heart of how to make your content strategic. How to evolve from a blogger to a content marketer.
It is one thing to say we need to create good content. “Epic content”, some say. And people even debate how frequently they should post. But, all of that just lends to turning blogging into a massively time consuming affair.
The STRATEGY behind your content is way more important than it’s frequency.
To that end, I present the Building A Content Marketing Plan training. In this course, we will be covering:
- How to translate your content plan into your actual revenue targets
- The step-by-step plan to creating your content marketing plan and calendar
- The reader “awareness ladder” and how to strategically target your content to move your readers up this ladder
- The specific content types and media for moving your readers through the steps of this awareness ladder – and ultimately to sales and revenue
- How to plan out and insert new lead magnet releases into your content plan
- How to interplay different content formats together to all back up your promotional campaigns
- 5 Content Types…. and when to use them
- How to handle “in between” time between marketing campaigns… and what to do with your blog in this timeframe
- The order of priority of where most of your content time should be spent
- 4 specific members-only tools to help you create your own content marketing plan
- How to automate your social media accounts to get more traffic, yet not lose the personal touch
- 5 Strategies for systematizing your content creation so as to get more done in less time
- The 80/20 Rule of Content Creation
This course isn’t about how to create content. This is about the overriding STRATEGY that brings it all together and ensures that the content you create has a reason to exist and actually grows your business.
In the end, I expect students of this course to assemble a content marketing plan for at least the next quarter. Doing so will fundamentally transform the way they approach their blog.
