I’ll run a full audit of your site’s performance — not just the score, but the why behind it. Then I’ll work through everything that’s dragging it down. Here’s the scope of what that typically includes:

  • Hosting & Server Server response time, PHP version, SSL configuration, hosting evaluation and recommendations.
  • Caching & Delivery Full page caching, object caching, browser caching, CDN implementation, asset preloading.
  • Code Optimization Render-blocking CSS/JS elimination, critical CSS inlining, JavaScript deferral, compression, minification, unused CSS removal.
  • Images & Media Bulk image optimization (entire Media Library), lazy loading, proper image dimensions, modern formats.
  • Plugins & Database Plugin audit, removal/replacement of poor performers, consolidation of overlapping plugins, database cleanup, autoloaded options review.
  • Fonts & Scripts Localization of third-party fonts and tracking scripts to reduce external requests.

Any plugins and tools I use to accomplish this are included — you won’t need to buy anything. That includes PerfMatters, ShortPixel, and whatever else the job calls for. You keep access to them after we’re done.

Expectations

I’m not going to promise you a perfect 100. Every site is different, and chasing that last 2-3 points often means changing things about your site you may not want to change. The good news: perfect scores aren’t necessary.

What I will do: get your core web vitals into the green, push your performance scores as high as reasonably possible, and show you before-and-after reports so you can see exactly what changed.

How To Get Started

Site performance work is handled through Anytime Credits — typically around 3 credits, though complex sites may need more.

Here’s how it goes:

  1. Buy credits and let me know you’d like to focus on site performance. (Already a Concierge client? Even easier — just ask.)
  2. Quick onboarding — I’ll ask a few questions about your site and need admin access to WordPress and your host.
  3. I’ll set up a Basecamp project for us to communicate back and forth while I work on your site.
  4. Full audit and optimization — I’ll run initial tests, post my findings, then get to work. You’ll see before-and-after performance reports when we’re done.
  5. Recommendations — If there are bigger-picture changes that would help (hosting, theme, etc.), I’ll let you know so you can decide how to proceed.
